Let us in this thread introduce ourselves as the same group of English teachers. So, all of you are cordially invited to introduce yourselves as members of mltaka.net, the place we meet, the place we care, we share, and we dare to tackle and handle any point or topic in English Language
As being an English teacher, let all your colleagues of English teachers in here get to know you. So you’re kindly invited to fill this form about yourself
First of all, it’s a blessed step that students start to learn English Language from 1st Grade up to 12 Grade which means there is a big chance for the student to acquire as much as possible the four skills; listening, reading, speaking & writing. But unfortunately, the educational laws available (grading system – passing/failing) made English Teaching to be unfruitful in some cases since many students have no interest in study in general which means all students must pass regardless their low level in English. This makes it difficult for both teacher and student and makes them be upset
Also, there should regular professional training courses for English teachers each year. A teacher should be enrolled in one course at least in Teaching English and such courses must be given by English Language Experts so as to gain the fruitful for teachers
As for the classes’ load assigned for the English teacher per week, it must be minimized to 15 classes per week so as to give more chance for the teacher to follow-up all the curriculum, students and activities in the course he/she teaches
In my opinion, English Teaching should be coping with computer. That’s to say, there should be an English Language Lab at each school. This lab must be equipped will all the technological tools so as to give a chance for the teacher to teach some skills via computer
In addition to what you mention ( my friend profenglish ) I can say that the curriculum requires a remedial work in order to be appropriate to students' levels.Furthermore, most of the students have no interest in studying English language. As a result, the teachers should motivate their students to exposure to educational situations like mini-dialogue, games and songs.
