Title: Project Coordinator
Place: Small Enterprises Center Association, Gaza Office
Period: one year, with ability to extend based on fund availability and annual performance evaluation
Starting date: As soon as possible
The Small Enterprise Center (SEC) Association is a Palestinian nonprofit organization provides an integrated package of innovative business development services consisting of, but not limited to, institutional capability building and strengthening initiatives, human resource training and development, SME banking, grant management, research and development, lending and micro-finance advisory services.
SEC is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator (PC) to assist in the implementation of Economic Recovery Project in the Gaza Strip implemented by Oxfam GB and funded by DANIDA. The (PC) will coordinate the implementation of project activities in Gaza, including planning and follow up with the local six partners, monitoring of project activities implementation, ensuring high work quality in the field, proper project documentation and accurate impact-based reporting, monitoring and evaluation. Maintain the project’s compliance with SEC and OGB policies and procedures, including those of administration, procurement and finance.
-Responsible for the overall implementation of the project
-Administrative and technical supervision and follow up of the activities’ implementation.
-Supervision of project team involved in the activities that fall within his/her responsibility.
-Ensure that all program activities are implemented in a timely manner and according to the donor’s rules and regulations.
-Plan and supervise regular field visits to ensure proper implementation of the activities on the ground.
-Responsible on monitoring and evaluation of project carried activities, including preparation of periodical reports as requested by the donor and SEC.
-Document all activities of the project and maintain an efficient filing system including all project-related documents.
-Coordinate and follow up with partners on shared activities to ensure the accurate field implementation of high quality activities
-Organizing training and workshops that fall in the scope of the project.
-High level engagement in the planning of the project activities.
Academic and Professional Qualifications and Experience:
-Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or other related field
-Three years of professional experience in project management, preferably with experience in working within NGO context and developmental projects.
-Strong background about the economic empowerment, small businesses within Gaza context.
-Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic.
-Excellent formal and report-writing skills in both English and Arabic.
-Proven ability to handle multiple assignments and meet the required deadlines.
-Advanced computer literacy.
-Proven ability to work under pressure and within a team.
-Proven problem solving, analytical and logical thinking skills
-Strong presentation skills and high level of creativity
