What is the semantic difference between each of the following pair of sentences?
. a. My father lived in Palestine all his life .
b. My father has lived in Palestine all his life .
A : He lived and might moved to another place
B : The duration is up to the present i.e he still lives in Palestine
This is a simple difference between the use of Past Simple and Present Perfect

Dangling and Misplaced Modifiers
A dangling modifier is a phrase or clause that does not logically modify any word in the sentence in which it appears. Although most commonly found at the beginning of the sentence, the dangling modifier may be located at the end of the sentence, too.
